About the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream
The SWO stream is designed for skilled workers who have an established connection to Manitoba. Eligible candidates must meet the following criteria:Connection to Manitoba: This can be through family members, previous education or work experience in the province, or a direct invitation from the MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative.
• Minimum Points Requirement: Candidates must score at least 60 points on the MPNP Points Assessment Grid, which evaluates factors such as language proficiency, age, work experience, education, and adaptability .
• In-Demand Occupations: Preference is given to candidates with experience in occupations that are in demand in Manitoba.
• Express Entry Alignment: Candidates who have a valid Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code are also considered under this stream.

• April 17, 2025: The MPNP issued 27 LAAs under the SWO stream, with the lowest-ranked candidate having a score of 621 .
• April 3, 2025: A targeted draw was held, issuing 4 LAAs to candidates with a minimum score of 721 .
• March 21, 2025: The MPNP issued 7 LAAs under the SWO stream, with the lowest-ranked candidate having a score of 705 .
