The University of Twente in the Netherlands has announced the 2025 University of Twente Scholarship (UTS), offering financial support to outstanding international students pursuing master's programs.

Scholarship Overview

Financial Support
• Scholarship Amount: €3,000 to €22,000 for one academic year
• Second-Year Funding: For two-year programs, students may receive an additional UTS grant equal to the first year's amount, contingent upon meeting specific academic criteria:
o Achieving an average grade of 7 (out of 10) by the end of the third quartile of the first year
o Earning at least 50% of European Credits by the end of the third quartile of the first year
• Usage: The scholarship is a lump sum intended to cover study-related costs; recipients have the discretion to allocate funds as needed
Additional Opportunities
UTS recipients may also be eligible for supplementary scholarships, such as:Kipaji Scholarship: Designed for students from developing countries, offering up to €12,000 in additional funding. Applicants must express interest in their UTS application and meet specific criteria.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Receive (provisional) admission to a qualifying UT master's program for the 2025/2026 academic year
• Possess a valid student number
• Not have graduated from a UT undergraduate or graduate program
• Comply with visa requirements for the Netherlands (if applicable)
• Demonstrate English proficiency: IELTS 6.5 overall and 6.0 in speaking, or TOEFL iBT score of 90
• Not be eligible for a Dutch study loan
• Belong to the top 5-10% of their class academically
